NECB Permits, Small Projects

Energy Simulation

To this date, TES has delivered dozens of 100% successful National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) permit applications throughout Saskatchewan since enforcement on January 1, 2019.  Multiple relocatable classroom additions, sheds that (unfortunately) require NECB evaluation through Trade-off or Performance Path, small +100 sq.ft. additions requiring Performance Path compliance, and others, have been delivered at a very competitive cost and a quick turn-around.

Service completion: January 2019 to present
Scope of services: NECB Coordinating Design Professional, showing NECB compliance via Trade-off Path or Performance Path
Size: from 100 sq.ft. additions to small and large new builds
Building systems: Make-up air units, rooftop units, furnaces, boiler systems, existing systems; wood structure, metal structure, pre-engineered panels, and everything in-between.

It is our objective to minimize expensive consultant time, but still deliver on the large and small details of NECB (including the elusive linear transmittance, or thermal bridging, calculations).  A large and varied project portfolio has fine-tuned our library of common NECB issues with coolers/freezers, with commercial-retail-unit base building applications, with pre-engineered steel panel envelopes, and with heat recovery ventilator requirements.  We not only prepare most parts of the NECB application, but are the expertise upon the (sometimes onerous) permit review process, expediting and resolving issues to get permit approved as soon as possible.

In short, we get it done.
